Russ has been professionaly selling since 1991
when he founded FutureTech, an Information Technology outsourceing firm in
Austin, Texas. He built the business by acquiring Fortune 1000 customers
and growing to a second office location in Huston. In 8 years the business
had grown to revenues totaling over $2 million. After selling the firm to
a competitor, Russ took on the role of Southeastern Regional Vice
President for the new organization. Within nine months he moved his
Houston branch from a ranking of 32 out of 35 up to number two based on
profit margins and number three based on total revenues. He surpassed his
revenue quotas with 164% attainment in 1994.
In 2000, Russ joined Genuity, formerly
known as GTE Internetworking, as an eBusiness Consultant where he
consistently carried multimillion dollar annual revenue quotas. In his
first year he surpassed his sales quota by obtaining 131% of quota and was
recognized as a President's Club member. Over the past three years Russ
has been ranked in the top 10% of his national sales team and in 2001
attained the #1 national ranking among his thirty-five peers. Russ is now
a Business Development Manager with CSC - Computer Science Corporation in
Huston, Texas. Over the past three years Russ has sold over $30 Million in
contracted services. Russ holds a Bachelors degree in Marketing from Texas
A&M University. Over the past 13 years Russ has spoken to hundreds of
audiences on a wide range of topics including sales, entrepreneurship and
information technology. Russ makes his residence in his home state of
Texas with his wife of nine years and their two children.
