EMORY
MULLING IS CHAIRMAN of The
Mulling Companies, an Atlanta-based family
of firms handling outplacement, leadership development
and retained search. He has been
active in career guidance and Human Resources
consulting since 1973 and formed his company
in 1985. His company is an affiliate of Lincolnshire
International.
Mr.
Mulling is the immediate past president and continues to serve on the
International Board of the Association of
Career Transition Firms International, North America.
He has earned the prestigious certification of
Fellow from the Inter-national Board for Career
Management and is past president of the Society
for Human Resource Management-Atlanta
Chapter and the recipient of its "Lifetime
Achievement Award." A
former Vice President of Human Resources,
Mr. Mulling’s background in human resource
management includes positions with Fortune
500 companies in manufacturing, food services, distribution,
transportation and banking, in
both union and non-union environments. He has written a nationally
syndicated column for five years entitled People Smarts,
which advises business owners
and management on Human Resources issues.
He has been featured in numerous national
publications including Time, Fortune, Kiplinger’s, Entrepreneur
and Newsweek,
as well as on radio and
television, providing expert advice
on career management.
A
Georgia native and Vietnam veteran, he has been married for 27 years to
his wife, Kathryn, and they
have two children.
