Robert
Horn was one of the most fascinating persons anyone could have had the good
fortune to know. A 15-year
survivor of ALS, this former professor at California State University -
Northridge, who was unable to speak, eat, or move his body for
nearly a decade, created the concept for two unique books and personally selected
the topics and any participating contributors. A former Rand scholar and authority on
conflict resolution, Bob Horn made it his life's work to share the strengths of
his will to live and his desire to educate others. His own personal views
were part of each book, but in no way influenced the objectivity of
the outcome. Bob, the father of three and grandfather of two, lived in
Winnetka, CA with his wife, Judy -- the two being together since their
collegiate days in Boston. Bob died in October of 2002, after leaving a
considerable legacy. His co-editor on Who's Right?, Gretchen Keeler resides in
Northridge, outside of Los Angeles with her husband Bruce. She is an
accomplished harpist and long time friend and companion of the Horn
family. |
