DAIL ROBERT
CANTRELL is a lifelong resident of East Tennessee.
He received an undergraduate degree with honors
from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and
attended graduate school at Warren Wilson College and Lincoln
Memorial University before returning to the University of
Tennessee to attend law school. He received the Doctorate of Jurisprudence
in 1991 from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
Dail is the managing partner and senior litigator at Cantrell,
Pratt & Varsalona, a position he has held for the past seven
years. He is also an adjunct Professor of Law at the University
of Tennessee in Knoxville. He is a nationally known trial
lawyer and has been active in the ATLA and NACDL. Dail is
a recipient of the McClung Medal and the Ray H. Jenkins Award
for Excellence in trial advocacy. Dail
and his wife Nicki have been married for five years. They
have one son. Although Dail is the author of numerous articles
and a textbook, Equal to the Task is
his first non-legal work.
